Ireland: Co. Mayo, family history

Martin's wanted to look for the graves of his grandparents. His Dad's parents are buried in Islandady Cemetery, which is very neat and tidy, as well as organized. The graves of Martin and Mary Dawson were easy to find.

Next we headed for his Mom's parents graves in Kilmaclasser Cemetary. We tried to find the cemetery yesterday but we were in the wrong one. Martin made a call to his Aunt Kitty, in America, to get better info. He was surprised not only to find his grandparents, John and Anne Malloy, but also Thomas and Sarah Malloy - his great grandparents, and also his great grandparents, Edward and Honor Malloy!

After some time in this cemetery, and one yesterday with sunken in graves and broken headstones buried beneath thick grass, I decided it was just as dangerous to walk around in these places as it was to climb the mountain.

Speaking of danger, Gus told us tonight that a woman fell on The Reek yesterday, badly damaging her back and had to be helicoptered out to the hospital.
