Ireland: The Ring, Watertown beach

The tide was out when we reached Watertown. This beach was so interesting and I wish I'd time to paint here. Frustration is awful, so we engaged in a favorite pass time, rock hunting.

The beach also had quite a bit of seaweed on it. Martin's father once had a job hauling dumptruck loads of kelp from the beach to farm fields. That ended abruptly when the truck got stuck in the sand, and the truck got overtaken by the sand.
