My residency begins proper today. The ladies are meeting me here at 10:30am. Until then, I will amuse myself at the Tuesday market, right outside this hotel!

But she never surrenders her subject, and each building, boat, hillside, or human figure is carefully pinned to the picture plane in the context of its surroundings.
